While many of our sisters are called to personal ministries, others started and often still work in ministries that we, as a Congregation, have voted to support in a more formal way: these are our sponsored ministries.
Tamar's Place
Located in Cincinnati's Over-the-Rhine Area, Tamar's Place works in close cooperation with "Off-the-Streets" and "Stop AIDs" to bring comfort, services and help to some of Cincinnati's most marginalized women. Young Adult Ministry...
There are over 48 million people between the ages of 18 and 40 in the United States. Even though they are extra-ordinarily busy building careers and rearing children, they want to give to others: 66% of young adults rank meeting the needs of others as very important in their lives. However, this generation has been the target of massive amounts of marketing -- and exploitation. Therefore, they actually prefer to be in multi-generational settings, and tend to be suspicious of activities designed especially for them. They prefer opportunities and services that are real, relevant relational and geuine. They seek community and spirituality: we provide both... as well as opportunities to serve others.
